About Lake Ozark Boat Docks
A marketing service that helps Lake of the Ozarks waterfront owners find Ameren-certified dock builders. We are not a contractor. We connect property owners with builders who hold the certifications required to work at the Lake.
What We Do
Lake Ozark Boat Docks is a free service for waterfront property owners at Lake of the Ozarks. When you tell us about your project, the new dock you want to build, the dock you need repaired, the slip you want to add, we route your request to an Ameren-Certified Dock Builder (CDB) who works in your cove and handles your project type.
We do not perform dock work. We are not a licensed contractor. Every quote, every permit application, every line of construction, repair, or modification is performed by the independent CDB you choose to work with. Their workmanship warranty, their insurance, their CDB number, their job.
What we do well: knowing which builders are actively certified, which builders run their crews on the Gravois versus the Niangua, which handle premium 50x50 concrete builds, and which still take on small repair jobs. We save you the time of calling 15 phone numbers off the Ameren list and finding out that nine of them no longer answer.
Why Ameren CDB Certification Matters
Ameren Missouri operates Lake of the Ozarks under a FERC license. Any new dock, any modification to an existing dock, any slip addition, and any refoaming work requires an Ameren permit. Permits are only granted when the application is submitted by an Ameren-Certified Dock Builder.
The CDB program is a structural regulatory barrier. Roughly 150 builders hold active certification. The national foundation and repair chains (Groundworks, Ram Jack, and similar consolidators) hold zero CDBs. If you are working on a dock at the Lake, your builder either holds an Ameren CDB number or they cannot complete the job. Confirm certification before signing anything.
About Compass Camper LLC
Lake Ozark Boat Docks is operated by Compass Camper LLC, an Oregon-registered marketing and lead generation company. Compass Camper LLC operates Lake Ozark Boat Docks as a trade name. Our other sites focus on home services in different metros, including Tulsa Foundation Experts in Oklahoma.
We disclose this on every page, in the header strip above the navigation, and in the footer of every page. We do not advertise ourselves as a local contractor. We are a marketing service. The independent Ameren-certified builders we connect you with do the dock work.
How We Choose the Builders We Work With
The builders on our partner list meet the following criteria before we route any project to them:
- Active Ameren CDB certification. Verified against Ameren Missouri's current official CDB roster, not last year's PDF.
- General liability insurance. Current certificate of insurance on file.
- Demonstrated Lake of the Ozarks experience. The builder works the cove your project is in.
- Written workmanship warranty. No verbal promises. The warranty is in the contract.
We avoid the marketing buzzwords that national lead-gen sites lean on. We list the criteria above so you can ask the builder yourself before signing.
Contact and Operating Address
You can reach us at (573) 369-9037 or compassleadgroup@gmail.com. We respond to most inquiries within four hours during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Central). The Compass Camper LLC operating address is registered in Oregon and is available upon request. Our Lake of the Ozarks regional phone number is a tracked line that routes to our coordination team.
